Moonvalley is building the first fully-controllable AI video generation model and we're seeking a talented Machine Learning Intern to join our team. We’re a nimble team of six backed by Y-Combinator and Khosla Ventures with advisors and angel investors from leading companies such as HubSpot and Shopify.

We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer Intern and the role is fully remote, but we're specifically looking for candidates based in India.

At Moonvalley, our product development process will be a bit non-standard and consist of small autonomous teams working to ship great features and experiences. Here is a good primer. You’ll work closely with your team (ML Engineers) daily, take ownership, make calls, and see things through without a lot of oversight.

What you'll do (responsibilities)

As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining various AI models and features in our software products. You'll work closely with our ML Engineers to deliver high-quality AI-powered solutions. You'll report directly to our Lead Machine Learning Engineer.

We're looking for someone who is looking to gain formal work experience in machine learning. You should be comfortable working in a remote team environment and have excellent communication skills.

Here are some examples of projects you might work on as an intern in our AI team:

• Helping develop and improve our AI-powered features, such as recommendation systems, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement machine learning models and pipelines.
• Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence to continuously improve our products.
• Helping conduct experiments, analyzing results, and iterating on models to optimize performance.
• Participating in swift iteration cycles related to Training/Fine-Tuning, testing and deployment of models.
• Communicating clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.

What we're looking for (qualifications)

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• Recent new graduate, or in the final year of studies for a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with experience in machine learning and data analysis
• Strong Python programming skills
• Understanding of Deep learning models such as CNN, RNN/LSTM/GRU, Transformers, ResNets, etc.
• Understanding of NLP or CV fundamentals.
